After graduating from Brown University in 1982 with a degree in Comparative Literature, I suddenly realized that to avoid starvation I would have to get a job.

After moving to New York, I did a stint in advertising in New York City, before moving to Los Angeles in 1986.

Starting out in movies as a Location Manager, I worked my way up to Production Managing and Line Producing. I joined Lakeshore Entertainment in 1995 as its Head of Physical Production, and remained there for 23 years and 55 feature films.
